Platform and data migration

A migration you can explain before you cut over

Dynomo turns source discovery, mapping, transformation, execution, and verification into one governed workflow. Preview the result, test it without writing, resolve exceptions, and reconcile every record before the team approves launch.

From source connection to repeatable workflow

Each step produces something the team can inspect and approve. Move through the walkthrough to see how the migration takes shape.

A repeatable migration workflow

From source uncertainty to verified destination data

The workflow stays visible from the first inventory through final reconciliation. Rules, approvals, exceptions, and results remain connected to the records they affect.

01

Discover

Inventory content, assets, locales, dependencies, URLs, and the available extraction paths.

02

Design

Agree the target model, mapping rules, taxonomy, validation criteria, and migration ownership.

03

Transform

Reshape content, rich text, assets, links, metadata, and relationships into the approved structure.

04

Execute

Run controlled batches, capture exceptions, replay corrected records, and move only the final delta at cutover.

05

Prove

Reconcile expected and actual records, fields, references, assets, URLs, and publication states before approval.

Representative slice

Rehearse difficult content and real relationships before scaling the workflow.

Delta cutover

Move only content created or changed after the final successful rehearsal.

Record-level reconciliation

Explain every migrated, changed, skipped, and rejected item.

Control and verification

Every batch should be explainable before approval

A completed job is not the same as a verified migration. Dynomo keeps the source record, rule version, transformation result, validation status, and destination outcome connected.

AI can identify patterns, propose mappings, and assist with controlled transformations. People remain responsible for the target model, policy, and publication decision.

01

Preview

Inspect mapped records and proposed transformations before anything reaches the destination.

02

Dry run

Validate the complete workflow without changing the destination platform.

03

Exception queue

Route failed, incomplete, or low-confidence records into a visible review path.

04

Targeted replay

Correct the rule or source data, then rerun the affected records instead of repeating the full migration.

05

Reconciliation

Account for every migrated, changed, skipped, and rejected record before cutover approval.

System-agnostic by design

Keep complex data structures intact as systems change

Dynomo is not tied to a particular CMS, commerce platform, database, or application. It can work with relational, nested, referenced, localised, and custom data models—making the same governed workflow suitable for content migration, commerce replatforming such as Magento to Shopify, and bespoke application data. Where a system exposes schema or metadata through its API, Dynomo can import that structure and use it as the starting point for discovery, mapping, and transformation.

Discover and import

Understand the source as it actually exists

Relational tables, keys, and linked records
Nested JSON, document models, and arrays
Content types, assets, locales, and taxonomies
Commerce catalogues, products, variants, collections, prices, and inventory
CRM, ERP, PIM, DAM, and custom domain entities
Schema and metadata import when the source API exposes them

Model and transform

Shape the data for the destination

Map fields into existing or newly created target models
Preserve relationships, dependencies, and processing order
Split, merge, normalise, or enrich records during migration
Retain identifiers across catalogue, customer, order, media, and inventory data
Apply data types, validation, defaults, and governance rules
Preview, rehearse, and reconcile the result before cutover

A focused migration pilot

Build the evidence before pricing the full programme

Start with a representative content graph and agreed acceptance criteria. The pilot exposes the real extraction path, mapping effort, exceptions, and delivery risk while the scope is still controlled.

Scope a migration pilot
01One accessible source and one agreed destination model
02A representative sample of entries, references, assets, and difficult edge cases
03Approved mapping rules with preview and dry-run results
04Visible exceptions, corrected replay, and record-level traceability
05Agreed success measures for coverage, accuracy, effort, and launch readiness
